What makes Tim Farren stand out from the new wave of talent in Australian country music is the way he captures a live audience and leaves a lasting impression with a song. It’s a magic quality that audiences remember and keep coming back for.
Tim has worked at all aspects of his craft over recent years, after attending the 2006 CMAA Australian College of Country Music, and achieved a 2006 and 2007, Toyota Star Maker grand finalist position.
Tim and his band were awarded the 2007 – 2008 and more recently, the 2011 – 2012 and 2013 – 2014 Most Popular Band award at the Country Music Guild of Australasia. Tim was also awarded Most Popular Vocalist Award in 2009, 2012 and 2013 by the CMGA.
These successes have only inspired Tim to work even harder and he is now collaborating with some of the country’s best songwriters to find some fresh new songs as he works towards his new single, “Thankful” from his soon to be released album titled “We’re all in this together”.
His band consists of Helen Stewart on bass and Leo Dalton on guitar, both members of the ever popular “The Dalton Gang”. They have both backed artists such as Johnny Chester, Denise Morrison, Beccy Cole and Noel Watson just to name a few.
On drums you’ll find Bryan Derrick who keeps himself busy drumming for the Tim Farren Band and in numerous other bands of many different genres. Dave Moore is a well recognised Pedal Steel player throughout the Country Music Industry. His dynamic steel playing sees him in very high demand backing many artists throughout Australia.
Tim and these highly experienced and talented group of musicians will ensure you are left with that lasting impression, keep your toes tapping and wanting more.
